1. Wat Benchamabophit

Also known as Marble Temple. The main hall used marble for almost all building materials except roof tiles. The main hall is surrounded by a corridor in which 52 Buddha statues are enshrined. Inside the main hall, there is a golden Buddha statue imitating the most beautiful statue of "Wat Mahathat" in Thailand, which is located in Phitsanulok Province in northern Thailand. The remains of the King Rama V (Chulalongkorn the Great) who built this temple are enshrined in the golden pedestal of the main temple installed in 1920.

2. Wat Indharavihan

Third-class royal temple. Completed in 1867. The height of the standing Buddha statue is 32 m. The foot of the Buddha statue can be reached. In the precinct there is a small stupa dedicated to the high priest Luang Pu Thuat who built this statue.

3. Wat Bowonniwet

Built in 1826. The main headquarters of the "Thammayut" group, which Rama IV later created. A temple where princes who have succeeded the king are trained. From King Rama V, successive kings were trained here. In the main hall, a golden statue of Buddha inherited from the ancient "Chiang Saen" dynasty is enshrined. The remains of King Rama IX ("Bhumibol Adulyadej" King) is inside the palace. This is right near Khaosan Rd.

1. Wat Traimit
วัดไตรมิตรวิทยารามวรวิหาร
A golden statue of Buddha is enshrined on the top floor of the temple. It is cast from gold with a height of 3 m, a weight of 5.5 t and a purity of 60%. It is said that it was manufactured during the Sukhothai era. This Buddha statue, once in an abandoned temple in the city, had its surface covered with plaster. At the time of relocation work in 1953, the inside was found to be made by gold.

2. Wat Ratchaburana

The "Wat Liab," a temple that existed before the "Ratanakosin" dynasty, was renovated in 1793 during the reign of Rama I and was designated as the Royal Temple as Wat Ratchaburana. Inside the main hall are 162 Buddhist statues collected by King Rama I from all over the world. The pagoda was built during the reign of King Rama III.

A relatively large third-class royal temple. Mostly person who died with no one to tend are memorialized. In the main hall, you can see beautiful Thai architecture and murals, and behind it is a golden chedi (stupa).

Hindu temple. The decoration of the statue that covers the temple roof is beautiful.

3. Wat Yannawa

An old temple from the Ayutthaya dynasty along the Chao Phraya River. Later, a new main hall was built by King Rama I, and in the days of King Rama III, a peculiar stupa was constructed by remodeling the junk ship that was active in the 19th century to convey it to posterity.

4. Wat Kaew Chaem Fa

The temple has one reclining Buddha. However, it is much smaller in size than the reclining Buddha statue at Wat Pho. The golden Buddha statue is enshrined on the altar in the main hall. This temple seems to have more Thai visitors than foreign tourists.
